Sweat-Free Campus Campaign
Notes
United Students Against Sweatshops' founding campaign. Pressure your administration to adopt a Code of Coduct for their apparel purchasing and licensing that requires decent labor standards - and to get them to affiliate with the Workers Rights Consortium (www.workersrights.org). We have won on over 100 campuses. If you want more information or resources, contact us...

Our campaigns range locally to globally as we are working to improve working conditions in the factories that make our school apparel, support workers rights on our campuses, and work for ethical contracting, mainly in the camapign to cut contracts with Coca-Cola. Currently, we are working out implenetation of the Designated Suppliers Program that would verify fair working conditions in factories that make our apparel, but we need more schools to adopt to DSP!! USAS also works to drive out all oppression within our groups and thus we focus on anti-oppresion within issues of social classes, sexual orientation, race, etc.
