Beginning with a simple white bed sheet, we intend on ending the day with a banner filled with handprints and signatures calling for an end to the crisis in Darfur, Sudan. This banner will be Rutgers University's presentation/gift to US Congress at the DC to Darfur rally on 30 April 2006.

We will also be hosting 'Yesterday my village was burned': Darfur photo essay exhibit. 'Yesterday my village was burned' comprises photographs taken of the land and Darfurian refugees in Darfur and Chad. Amnesty International, Oxfam International, and independent photographers shot the photographs. Amnesty International compiled the photo essay.

Information on the crisis in Darfur will be disseminated, and additional actions (such as signing a petition, signing postcards, and buying Darfur awareness bracelets, among other things) will be available for passersby to do as well. We will also have sign-up sheets for those who want to sign-up to reserve seats on buses running from New Brunswick, NJ to the rally in Washington, DC and back again.
