BigPath Flyer: Draft: Could This Be Spring Break 2005? (Iraq
Description
Flyer title: (DRAFT) COULD THIS BE SPRING BREAK 2005?
--------------------------------
Flyer Copy/Theme:
Serving your country in a time of need is an honorable thing. When Al Qaeda struck us on September 11, 2001, the world joined American troops in the hunt for Osama Bin Laden. And most of us supported George Bush’s plan.

But in 2003, George Bush took us down a different path. With few exceptions, the world did not join us in Iraq. In hindsight, we know that despite the lack of evidence, the Bush/Cheney administration used the fear of weapons of mass destruction and a non-existent link between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda to begin a mostly unilateral war that, as of 10.03.04, has cost 1,060 American lives.

Our troops are stretched thin in Iraq, and there are other hot spots around the world. What happens if George Bush and Dick Cheney decide another oil-rich country needs liberation? Where will the troops come from? Are you willing to fight in Iraq or a new conflict? Are you ready to put your life on the line to protect Halliburton’s financial interests and a reckless go-it-alone foreign policy?

When you vote on November 2nd, you’re not just picking a candidate. You’re choosing the people who will control your country’s direction and your destiny for the next four years.

We think George Bush’s approach to foreign policy is weak and lacks direction. In Iraq his reasons for war were misleading and his plan for peace non-existent. He continues to claim that we’re gaining ground, but the facts indicate otherwise. In the debate on foreign policy he did nothing to inspire confidence in his policies.

John Kerry has demonstrated he has the courage, compassion and credibility to lead this country during a difficult time. We trust him to take the job seriously.
