Bio
Music Teacher for Guitar/Voice and Piano - Singer/Songwriter/Producer and Artist, Elaine Akins is just returning to the Country Music scene, after a break for several years of just writing songs and producing many recordings of original songs. This is just a beginning for the Country Music Fans to hear Elaine Akin's original songs, written by herself and by her parents, Bill and Mary Akins. Elaine also owes a special tribute to Cecil Mays, whose nickname was "Rebel" (Rebel Rose named for him) and who also co-wrote songs with Elaine as well as financed and supported her musical career and songs of her new album for many years.

Elaine has turned down more than one recording contract to pursue songwriting and to follow her dream of releasing records. Rebel Rose Productions is just the beginning. Elaine has over 150 songs in her repetoire for Country Music Fans in the future. It will be a new beginning for sounds that are reminescent of rockabilly influences like Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly and Elvis. Other influences are Dolly Parton, Patti Loveless and Tanya Tucker.

Elaine Akins, President, Singer/Songwriter, Performer and Producer of Rebel Rose Productions, a new Record Label and Production Company was originally from Marlowe, Oklahom grew up with Country Music. Her parents were writers and her grandmothers were musical, one was a writer of the original song "Hello Mary Lou" and her other grandmother was a pianist, so music was embedded from the beginning as early as Elaine can remember. Elaine grew up with influences from Hank Snow, Elvis, Johnny Cash, of course, who was married to one of the Carter Sisters, and watching the Grand Ole Oprey every Saturday night was Elaine's favorite TV show and she has always dreamed that one day she would perform there. Elaine is currently producing her own album called "I'll Be True To You" which should be ready for release by March, 2003. Rebel Rose Productions has been in the planning for many years of recording song after song to find those that would be immediate hits in the Music Country Scene. Elaine has had a record release in 1990 with MMT Records and in 2002, released a record with New Country, Vol 17, No. 6 called "I'll Get Over You" reaching the Top 20 in most US radio stations.
