The Animal Defense League is a national, and indeed international organization dedicated to furthering the cause of Animal Liberation and Veganism. Animals are incredibly complex creatures that have the ability to feel, love and have emotion. In todays societies, they are treated as raw materials at the disposal of large industries to do with them what they will, without regard to their intrinsic value. We are the reaction: informed groups of people banding together to act against this cruelty, to serve as a voice of the voiceless. To this end we focus on a number of concentrated campaigns, most notably the campaign against Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS.)This is a non-campus group.
