C/o United States Student Association 1413 K St. NW 9th Floor Washington, District of Columbia 20005 United States 501-244-24391. The NYSPC opposes the use of violence or threat of violence against civilians to intimidate, induce fear, or kill, for political, religious, or other ends. We oppose this violence regardless of whether it is carried out by individuals, "rogue states," or global military powers.
2. We are opposed to an open-ended "war on terrorism." We call for the American people to address the root causes of this conflict, and view U.S. foreign policy as one of those root causes. We seek lasting peace at home, but in order to achieve it we must act justly abroad. Instead of unilateral action, we seek international solutions in which the U.S. and all other parties are held accountable for their actions.
3. We oppose opportunistic legislation sacrificing civil rights, democratic principles, and domestic needs in the name of "anti-terrorism" or "homeland security."
4. As youth and students, we will be especially vigilant about any attempts to deny civil liberties on high school and college campuses and we oppose the militarization of our schools. We demand increases in spending on financial aid, education, and job creation that does not rely upon militarism. This is a campus group. Geographical Scope: National This group is a network.
