United StatesStudents for Social Democracy is an independent grouping of the radical left based at Columbus State University. Growing out of the alienation of a section of the student body from the two major political parties, SSD seeks to bring together students, professors, workers, and other members of the community to work towards peace and social justice. While reading, discussion, and education are an important part of SSD's daily work, it is not a study group.
