615-353-2025The PeaceWorks club is the student division of the Peaceful School program. Information about the program may be found at www.peacefulschools.org. The Hillwood high school PeaceWorks members are working to promote a more peaceful school by sponsoring a Gossip-Free Day, giving white ribbons to students committing random acts of kindness, and unifying to collect items for the women's shelter. We are also paying tribute to victims of violence and participating in a Peace Walk during the International Week of Peace in April.
We have discussions about how to resolve conflicts without violence, and ways that we can promote peace within our circles of friends. We are also conducting surverys among parents, students, administrators, and teachers to identify problems that exist in our school.
