Notes
The Trinity College chapter of ConnPIRG. ConnPIRG, the Connecticut Public Interest Research Group, is a statewide student funded and directed public interest group. ConnPIRG works for social change on a variety of issues in the public interest including environmental protection, public health, hunger and homelessness, democracy and consumer rights. Students at Trinity College started the chapter here in 1972. Students support ConnPIRG for many reasons but the big one is that special interests are too often allowed to do things like pollute our environment, endanger public health, rip-off consumers and pay for their own interests to be taken care of in government. ConnPIRG stands up for the public on these issues and gets results. We also have chapters at UConn Hartford and UConn Storrs.
This is a campus group.
