United StatesThe mission of RightRides For Women's Safety, Inc. is to reduce the risk of harassment and sexual assault by community organizing, offering direct service programs, plus fostering greater safety awareness and individual empowerment in our related educational programs.
In our RightRides program, we offer women, transpeople and gender queer individuals a free, late-night ride home to insure their safe commute to or through high-risk areas.
RightRides organizes qualified driving and navigating volunteers to operate a vehicle donated by Zipcar. We currently pick-up and drop-off in 19 NYC neighborhoods every Saturday night from 11:59 PM - 3:00 AM Sunday morning.
