Who:

University of Rhode Island Students for Social Change (URISSC), URI Students for a Sensible Drug Policy (URI SSDP) and URI Clean Water Action.

What:

In conjunction with several campus organizations, URISSC is leading a DIE-IN on the University of Rhode Island Quadrangle at the Kingston campus. Participants at the event will apply fake blood - provided - to their clothing and quietly lie down on the quadrangle for two hours. The event is designed to be a serious and solemn reminder that war must be avoided at all costs. Also on the same day at URI, URISSC has invited guest speaker Martin Lepkowski from Witness for Peace to give a speech about how the US government's intervention in COlombia is fueling their ongoing civil war.

The talk will be held at 7:00pm in the URI Memorial Union, room 318.
