Over 350 youth (ages 13-19) and adult allies from every region of the country who are involved in efforts for social, economic, & environmental justice.
Participants are mainly youth of color, low income youth, LGBTQ youth, immigrant youth, & other young people facing social or political oppressions.
Fun & interactive workshops that build skills for taking action in your community & for developing campaigns.
Sessions on issues important to young people (including education, juvenile justice, homophobia, violence, sexual health, environmental racism, labor injustices, immigrant rights, etc.).
Opportunities and resources that can help organizations grow, including fundraising, technology, and research skills.
Art, music, poetry, dance through open mics and other evening events.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
YOUTH (ages 13-19), Youth Organizers, Intermediaries, Allies, Funders, & Anyone who wants to learn more about youth organizing!!
Space is limited for 350 participants; organizations are encouraged to each send a maximum of 8 youth participants and at least one staff person, organizer, or leader over the age of 18.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
You will need to pay registration fees. You will also need to pay lodging fees if you are coming from out of town. Other expenses during the Gathering include travel to/from the airport, extra meals, transportation, shopping, or other activities.
