Description
This is a unique opportunity for students and educators to gather forces to build a stronger anti-war movement and discuss the effect of war on our schools.

Students and educators (kindergarten through graduate school) will come together in opposition to the war in Iraq. We want to challenge the war in many venues: our unions, our schools and colleges, our classrooms and the streets.

The conference, a project of US Labor Against the War, will have plenaries and workshops on strategies to stop the war, organizing in teacher unions, organizing schools and campuses, curriculum and pedagogy, analyzing the roots of war and critiquing ideologies that support the war. Topics will include resisting the draft, resisting military recruitment, examining imperialist ideologies and using materials to bring the anti-war movement into the classroom.

Check out our website for a complete listing of workshops.
