Description
This Year's Theme: How do we define activism? How do we "do" activism? How do interdisciplinary perspectives engage activism? How is activism relevant to our communities today? Proposals are welcome connecting activism and art, diversity, theory, history, teaching, learning, and community initiatives. Display tables will also be available. This year's conference will include an embedded student conference, and we encourage undergraduate and graduate students to submit proposals that consider the theme Performing Activism. We ask faculty to encourage their students to get involved and attend the conference.

Proposal Format: Faculty, students, staff, administrators, and community activists from all disciplines and fields are invited to submit proposals for individual papers, complete sessions, panels, or round tables. Poster sessions, performance pieces, video recordings, or other visual works are also encouraged. For individual papers, submit a one-page abstract. For complete panels, submit a one-page abstract for each presentation plus an overview on the relationship among individual components. For the poster sessions and art work, submit a one-page overview.
