Description
The Small Wind Iniaitive will hold an Introduction to Small Wind Power, hosted by Jim Green of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Saturday October 16th. The workshop will provide students, residents, farmers, and businesses with the information and resources needed to exlpore their options for wind power prodcution. Topics will include product information, Sizing and system configuration, installation and maintenance, tax credits, and various applications.
Following the Intro workshop will be a separate Wind Installation workshop from October 18th-21st at the Small Wind Initiative Research and Demonstration Site on Beech Mountain. Two turbines will be raised over the 4 days by participants and Southwest WindPower Representatives.
Also, Sunday OCtober 17th, Jim Green will be hosting a free speaker training workshop from 9am-12. Breakfast is included in this free event.
Please consider joining us for one of these events to learn more as wind power continues to grow as a source of clean, affordable, and local source of power.
Please register early, fees apply (except for the speaker training) however student rates are available.
