518-273-8045Every year in celebration of Earthday, a nationally observed acknowledgement of environmental issues and technologies in the United States, Ecologic the environmental club here at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute holds its annual Earthweek Celebration. Our ecologically inspired week of events concludes with our Earthfest event, bringing together community organizations, environmental entities, music, vegetarian/vegan food and a plethora of other forms of entertainment. This year�s theme has been selected with much care and is entitled �Food for a Better World�, educating the campus and capital region on the benefits and social implications of a vegetarian diet, sustainable agriculture, factory farming, composting and locally grown products. We would like to invite you to our gathering being held on Friday, April 23rd in the RPI campus Quad, behind the Russell Sage Dining Hall located at the intersection of 15th street and Sage Ave. in Troy, NY. Kicking off at 3pm, Earthfest will go until 7pm complete with a vegetarian barbeque, live music and an assortment of eco-activities. Geographical Scope: Local Other |
