Description
Please join us for the NW Energy Coalition’s Fall 2014 NW Clean & Affordable Energy Conference Nov. 7-8 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Portland. The conference will feature speakers, panels and networking opportunities with clean energy experts and advocates. Expert panels will address the region’s most pressing:

The fossil fuel replacement panel will delve into the appropriate approach for replacing aging fossil fuel generation. Panelists will discuss the challenges and opportunities for meeting future load requirements with energy efficiency and clean, renewable energy sources.

The Columbia River Treaty panel will focus on current treaty negotiations between the U.S. and Canada. Topics will include the future of hydroelectric generation in the Columbia Basin, fish and wildlife protection, and social justice and equity issues.

The consumer protection at the grid edge panel will look at safeguarding home and business owners’ off-grid energy investments and the potential rate and bills impacts for customers – especially low-income – remaining on the grid. The panel will address the danger of scam artists offering third-party leasing and/or financing for solar and other small generation.

Following the conference program on Friday, Nov. 7, join with energy luminaries at Founding the Future, a gala dinner event commemorating the Coalition’s founders and envisioning a clean and affordable energy future. Click here for more information on the Gala.
