What does social activism mean to you and your students? Last year, over 200 educators from around the world explored this question at the City Museum’s 1st Annual Teaching Social Activism Conference. Building on last year’s success, the Museum invites educators to present and participate in this year’s conference, centered on how educators teach and encourage interest in social activism in their classrooms. The conference will begin with a keynote address and reception on Friday, May 2nd, leading to a full day of interactive sessions on Saturday, May 3rd. Throughout the day, educators will present best practices in teaching the history of social activism through a series of panel, poster, and workshops hosted at the City Museum.
