Every other Wednesday evening, after our store closes, volunteers come together to work on building Uhuru Furniture and the African People’s Education and Defense Fund. The meetings run 7pm – 8:30pm and include a video or article w/ discussion, building a current APEDF program and building Uhuru Furniture through promotions. Your skills and time are need to constantly expand the work of APEDF in Philly, winning more and more people to the mission of social justice and sustainable economic development in the hands of the African community.
People of all ages and skill levels welcome! We are currently in the process of building for a health fair in the fall.
