Hackers as bandits in the cyber world have a role to play when the state comes crashing down. As we've seen in Egypt, Greece and Tunisia, technology and revolution go together like peanut butter and jelly. But where do we fit in? What is the hacker's role in revolution, and transversely, what is the revolutionary's role in hacking?
Hackmeet seeks to combine the ideals of both technology and anti-authoritarianism, to expand the current resistance in the techno-lust and push it further. We are currently accepting proposals for this year's conference held in San Francisco on October 15th and 16th, 2011. We are looking for talks, skillshares and ideas that push forward technological anarchism.
