The fourth annual Strengthening the Roots Convergence is going to be bigger than ever. Thanks to the help of partner organizations throughout the region, this year's STR will bring together 450+ high school- and college-age youth to unite around food justice organizing and activism.
The Convergence Programming Committee is accepting proposals for workshop sessions. Successful proposals are those that seriously address an issue or issues that promote deeper dialogue and explorations of food systems, food justice, and their intersections within the broader sustainability movement. Workshops will focus on sharing diverse experiences and techniques in activism. The Convergence strives to embody the principles of popular education, supporting learning that is participatory, experiential, rooted in dialogue, and drawing on the experience and perception of all participants.Geographical Scope: Regional Conference |
