United StatesThe Training for Trainers camp is designed to help experienced organizer learn how to teach the skills that they have learned. One of the goals of this event is to build our internal ability to teach our newer chapters the basics of student organizing, so we hope that everyone who attends will be interested in taking the skills they learn back to their area to teach new people. This camp is a part of larger Summer Training Project being organized by our new Training Working Group. At the end of the summer we will be putting on four regional action camps, where most of the workshops will be led by SDSers attending the Training for Trainers event.

We're asking participants to pay a $20-$100 sliding scale registration fee, though NO ONE WILL BE TURNED AWAY DUE TO LACK OF FUNDS. We want to encourage chapters(especially if you're sending more than one person) to support their members attending this event by passing the hat at a meeting or doing a quick bake sale. We also want to encourage members who are able to pay the higher end of the registration fee to please do that so as to support members who are unable to pay.Geographical Scope: National Other |
