News and Events
Featured Speaker
Mia Kirshner, actress and author of I Live Here. I Live Here is a visually stunning narrative - told through journals, stories, images, and graphic novellas - in which the lives of refugees and displaced people become at once personal and global. Bearing witness to stories that are too often overlooked, it is a raw and intimate journey to crises in four corners of the world: war in Chechnya, ethnic cleansing in Burma, globalization in Mexico, and AIDS in Malawi.

Resolutions
Policy-Making Sessions - AIUSA Resolution and Voting News:
Amnesty International is a grassroots organization. Any individual member or group of members has an opportunity to impact the mission, method, policy, organization or allocation of resources. Resolutions are a means by which members can influence policy on a regional, national, or international level. A resolution is a statement directing a change in AI that can't be accomplished by simply asking a staff member or volunteer leader.
Each registered Amnesty International group (student or local) is allotted one Voting Card for resolutions at the Regional Conference. AIUSA individual members are also eligible to vote. To obtain a Individual Voting Card to vote on resolutions at the Regional Conference, you be recorded as a voting member of AIUSA (having paid dues to AIUSA or submitted a valid dues waiver in the last year, and no later than September 10, 2008). You may join by calling 1-800-AMNESTY or online.
