Each August, URPE members and their families hold a 4-day workshop/retreat in an attractive rural setting. Papers and workshops, formal and informal, are presented. Ample time for leisure and social activities is built into the program: the site has wonderful hiking and a pool available.
The 2008 Summer Conference/Retreat is scheduled for August 15-18, at Camp Deer Run in Pine Bush, New York. This year's workshop/retreat theme is Poverty and Unemployment: The Permanent Violence of Capitalism.
