The Marching Home Conference will provide an opportunity for veterans, students and community activists to come together and discuss the war in Iraq and its consequences for veterans. The conference will be held at the College Ave. Student Center, Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ and will feature workshops and discussions on issues that matter to veterans and their allies.

Topics for the sessions include: Transitioning from the War and the Challenges of PTSD, the Humanitarian Costs of War, Outreach to Vets, Military Recruitment and Youth, Women in the Military, Depleted Uranium and Much More!
Conference Highlights

On Friday, October 5, award-winning journalist Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! and former US Marine Jimmy Massey will kick off the conference (Voorhees 105). Mr. Massey was among the first U.S. Marines to report widespread human rights abuses in Iraq.

Join us Saturday October 6 for a discussion of the Iraq War Inside the Military with Liam Madden, Iraq war veteran and co-founder of Appeal for Redress, a campaign of military service members to halt the war. Mr. Madden will be joined by Ann Wright, Retired US Army Reserve Colonel and former U.S. diplomat who resigned in opposition to the Iraq War.

On Sunday morning conference attendees and participants are invited to a breakfast and strategy session. Breakfast will be provided.
