Description
The KSU Campus Greens and Alpha Kappa Delta (Sociology Honor Society)
invite you to attend our short seminar on "Building Sustainable
Societies" this Friday, February 9 at 5:30 PM in the new Social
Science Building. Our seminar begins in the Social Science Building
lobby with a quick "tour" of the green technology that makes it LEED
Certified
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leadership_in_Energy_and_Environmental_Design).
LEED Certification ensures that buildings are constructed in ways that
reduce our ecological footprint on the earth.

After our tour, Connie Hensler, Director of Sustainable Research for
Interface, Inc., will speak about how sustainability concerns are
increasingly re-shaping the way business is done. She will also talk
about Interface, one of the leading carpet companies in the world,
which has pledged to become a sustainable business by the year 2020
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interface_Inc.). This portion of the
seminar will start at 6:30 PM in Social Science Building Room 2034.
Attendees are welcome to attend either portion or both.
