United States BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- A commemoration event honoring the 35th anniversary of the “Bloody Sunday” massacre that took place in Derry, Northern Ireland will be held at The Plough and Stars in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Tuesday, January 30, 2007.
The ceremony, sponsored by the Irish Freedom Committee, will honor the fourteen civil rights demonstrators who were shot and killed by soldiers from the British Army’s 1st Paratroop Regiment on January 30, 1972. Festivities will begin at 7:00 PM and continue until 1:00 AM.Geographical Scope: National Day of Action |
