ranslating Identity is a free conference focusing on gender and gender identities. Open to the public, this event hopes to reach out the University of Vermont, the Burlington community, and the nation as a whole to educate us all further about transgender issues. With multiple panels to choose from at any time, some panels will be directed towards trans people and others will be for those who are fairly unfamiliar with the transgender movement and the topic of gender identity.

TIC 2007 will occur on February 24, 2007 from 9 am till 6 pm, followed by evening entertainment.

This conference seeks to translate gender identity to both the queer community and its allies.

This conference is open to the national public, but space is limited!
There are 600 spaces open to the public and 300 available to UVM affiliates.
Please register as soon as possible to guarantee your spot.
Registration and attendance are free.
Please Note:Due to heavy financial restrictions on TIC’s budget, the TIC Committee will NOT be able to provide lunch for attendees.
Attendees will be provided with information about a large number of restaurants with a variety of dietary accommodations from which attendees can order-out, eat-in, or pick up.
We are very sorry that TIC is unable to provide this service.
