Featuring Al Letson, Aya de Leon, Harlym 125, and Kelly Ken-Yie Tsai. The spoken scene word is one of the most important contemporary intersections of art, activism, politics and culture. This is the first part of a continuing literacy and cultural event series designed to illustrate and humanize public policy issues in order to connect with a diverse population of young progressive professionals and students. We hope to inform young people on issues such as civil liberties, immigration, race, poverty, war and peace and other pressing policy matters.
