The Bookfair brings together radical and indpendent publishers, distributors, bookstores, and authors for a weekend of workshops, panel discussions, and performances engaging with a variety of topics from radical approaches to social services, to anti-war activism, to political art and aesthetics. Co-organized by volunteers from the Red Emma's collective (B'more), Wooden Shoe Books (Philadelphia), and the Alternative Press Center (B'more), and a whole host of others, the 2006 Bookfair promises to be an engaging and exciting celebration of informed resistance in the Mid-Atlantic area!
The 2006 Mid-Atlantic Bookfair will take place at CENTERSTAGE, one of Baltimore's most beloved independent theaters, located just 3 blocks away from the center of the Mount Vernon district, and just a block away from Red Emma's Bookstore Coffeehouse.
