Description

Travel scholarships are available for this three-day event, which runs Friday, February 28 through Sunday, March 2. Friday (an optional day) will be a day of sessions to plan out a national student peace campaign and elect a Student Peace Action Network council. Saturday and Sunday will feature workshops (including nonviolence, anti-racism, media, and creative fundraising training), panel discussions, and speakers, with a keynote address and concert of protest music Saturday night and an antiwar action on Sunday. Looking back, sweeping forward--As the new generation of peace activists, we are pulling together insights from the struggles that came before, creating fresh tools to become effective activists today, and staying true to the principles of nonviolence to build a powerful youth movement for peace. Come away from this fantastic weekend with new skills, new contacts, and fresh enthusiasm to carry into your peace and justice work, spring semester and beyond!
