Description
Herbert Kohl will discuss his book "She Would Not Be Moved," a reflection on how the Rosa Parks story is told to children. Kohl discusses how to teach children about a movement filled with hope, and critiques the popular idea that Rosa Parks was simply a tired woman in the right place at the right time. Herbert Kohl is the author of more than 30 books on progressive education. Sponsored by Bindlestiff Books, The Philadelphia Public School Notebook, and Penn/GSE's Center on Collaborative Research on Teaching and Teacher Education
