The aim of the conference is to educate the rest of UW-Platteville, the Platteville community, and outlying areas about issues affecting and influencing the success of Black students at UWP and around the world. It is time to stand up and make your voice heard. Educate yourself and your community about multiculturalism- attend the 2006 Ebony Ball, 'Mahogany Getaway'.

Speakers include Dr. Conrad Worrill, activist; and Bikari Kitwana, author of "The Hip Hop Generation". KB (reknowned rapper from Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is set to perform at the Ebony Ball Dinner; Comedian Damon Williams will make an appearance the night of the Ball. Weekend includes a hip hop dance, elegant ball, rib dinner, several breakout sessions, comedian, entertainment, apollo night, and several other worthy events.

Tickets are pending at a price of 80 dollars for the entire weekend. What a deal! Hotels will be provided in Platteville for your convenience, just minutes from the campus. Call MERC (ask for Carl or Carlos) to acquire out more information. The event will be filling up fast when registration opens.
