Woodhull Freedom Foundation's Brown Bag Lunch Series

Save the Date: October 19th, 2005!

The Woodhull Freedom Foundation (WFF) invites you to join us for another in our monthly educational series of brown bag lunches. These brown bag lunches focus around sexual freedom and the issues that impact or reflect on that human right.

These events are free to the public.

Circumcision - It's Not Just Skin!
In the U.S., most infant males and most women giving birth are subjected to unnecessary, damaging surgeries. We will discuss what these procedures are, how they relate within the social framework of oppression and views of the body, and how we can inform about and heal ourselves from these practices.

Our guest is Ryan McAllister, Ph.D. and he will be presenting one side of the circumcision debate that's going on in the United States today.

Ryan works as a biophysicist at Georgetown University. He has spent much of his time studying and interrupting oppressed-oppressor cycles on a personal scale. He also works as a birth activist in the role of director of NotJustSkin.org, a nonprofit educational organization.

The forum will run from twelve noon until 1:30pm. The format for these events is informal and we encourage you to bring your "brown bag lunch" to the discussion.

DISPENSING MEDICATIONS - NOT MORAL JUDGEMENTS!

The Woodhull Freedom Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works through research, advocacy, and public education to affirm sexual freedom as a fundamental human right.
We address laws, government policies, and private practices that restrict sexual freedom and discriminate against people on the basis of their consensual sexual expression.
