Nathan Hoge works at Southwest Family Guidance Center and Institute, a outpatient mental heath facility which primarily serves children and adolescents in the Albuquerque area. Currently he is the Suicide Assessment coordinator and Assistant to the CEO. He has also worked for A New Awakening which is a mental health and substance abuse facility. Nathan is currently a senior at the University of New Mexico and is pursuing a BA in Criminology and a BA in Political Science. General Interests: My general interests include traveling, hiking, outdoor exploration, cycling, politics, and law. Favorite Music: When it come so music I am very eclectic. Some of my favorite artists include Modest Mouse, MGMT, The Beatles, Phillip Glass, Aesop Rock, Johnny Cash, POS, Chopin, Ben Harper, Ani Difranco, Art Tatum, Duke Ellington, The Faint, Massive Attack, Miles Davis Favorite Books: I mostly read nonfiction. My most interesting recent read was "All God's Children." A book about the Bosket family and the factors in their lives that led to a life of crime. On the other end of the spectrum I like the stories and poems of Charles Buk Political Views: Democratic. My major political interests are in drug legislation, social welfare, crime policy, foreign policy, and more currently health care reform and financial reform. Occupation: Full-time student & Suicide Assessment Coordinator/ Assistant to the CEO Networking Goals: My goal is to network with fellow democrats to help bring about positive change in our country and to make connections that may someday help me in achieving my goal of becoming a congressman.
