I am currently a canvasser with the Coalition for Peace Action. I am also a member of the Philadelphia branch of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW). I am interested in learning more about the United States' history of state repression, such as during the FBI's COINTELPRO, and about effective resistance campaigns to that repression (the civil right's movement, Black Panther Party, American Indian Movement (AIM), SDS/Weather Underground). I want to take an active role in my family, peer groups and community in fostering a better common understanding of this history. I'm really interested in expanding my understanding of myself as a queer person, and in working to destroy patriarchy.
