USAS is part of a movement that fights for sweatshop free labor conditions, workers’ rights, and supports the struggles of workers. USAS defines 'sweatshop' broadly and recognizes that it is not limited to the apparel industry. The Lake Forest chapter of USAS participates in numerous off campus activities, raises awareness on campus through events and speakers, and develops solidarity with workers everywhere.
