90061 United StatesThe CPS seeks to enhance a better understanding of the Philippine contemporary society through studies and research of the political, economic, social and cultural history of the Filipino people. The center, established on November 2002, serves Southern California by organizing forums, lectures, study circles and cultural presentations in Filipino communities. It has sponsored seminars on socio-economic developments at the UC Irvine, Pasadena Community College and at Glendale Community College. Video and slides presentations on the current Philippine human rights situations were also held in various forums. This is a campus group.
