United StatesThe Green Party of Camden County is an affiliate of the GP of New Jersey. We are an activist organization as well as a political party. Our mission is to build a viable political alternative in the United States, to renew democracy without the support of corporate donors. Our support comes from volunteers at the local level and from small contributions from individual citizens. Greens provide real solutions for real problems. Whether the issue is universal health care, corporate globalization, alternative energy, election reform or decent wages for workers, Greens have the courage and independence necessary to take on the powerful corporate interests.
The Green Party has a broad platform that ranges from protecting the environment to our pro-labor agenda to human rights and social justice. Green groups around the country not only run candidates for office, but work consistently in between elections on issues of concern in their community. This kind of activism is fundamental to our grassroots values and keeps us grounded on local issues, building the support networks needed to run candidates for public offices.This is a non-campus group.
