Description
Over 400 groups were invited to attend this action-oriented conference to be held on April 7, 2004 with spaces filling up quickly.
The conference will allow students across Ontario to showcase environmental and social action projects they are working on in their schools and communities. By sharing ideas, being inspired by other projects and networking with students across the province, the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University is confident that this event will strengthen the existing community of environmentally-minded youth and help students change their worlds.
Severn Cullis-Suzuki will be on-hand to present the keynote address. Cullis-Suzuki has been speaking internationally about environmental and social concerns since the age of 12 and is expected to kick-start the conference with a take action and change your world message. Conference delegates will also be able to choose from a variety of interactive workshops by community groups such as TakingITGlobal, Ducks Unlimited, World Wildlife Fund, Daily Break Food Bank and the Sierra Youth Coalition.
The conference will take place at York University, located at 4700 Keele Street. For conference information, updates and registration forms, visit changeyourworld.yorku.ca or emaileAction@yorku.ca
