United StatesThe very first Maine Grassroots Media Conference will take place on September 10th, 2011 at the Unity College Centre for the Performing Arts.
The MGMC was formed to bring together independent media, grassroots organizations and anyone interested in growing a vibrant, independent media community in Maine. MGMC will provide a space to share media strategies for more just and creative communities.
For one day and two full evenings, we will come together to share skills, strategies and stories, network, spread awareness of grassroots media resources, and grow a movement for media justice.
MGMC 2011 would like to thank our primary sponsors WERU Community Radio and Unity College, our media sponsors, the Beehive Design Collective and conference partner Center for Environmental Arts and Humanities at Unity College.
