As a Greenpeace Intern you can:

 Stop the destruction of the world’s last ancient forests
 Launch a renewable energy revolution to combat global warming
 Hold multinational corporations accountable
 Promote solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental problems
 And yes — save the whales

Take on the corporations and governments that are threatening the planet by working in the world’s best-known environmental activist organization.

Internships are available in the following departments: campaigns (climate/clean energy, nuclear energy, forests & toxics), communications (web and graphic design), media, legal, and marketing. Activist trainings will be available in areas such as corporate campaigning, non-violent direct action, media relations, and grassroots organizing. At least 75% of your time will be spent running your own substantive projects. Limited scholarships are available on a needs basis.

Qualifications: Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong research skills, an enthusiasm for protecting the environment and an ability to work well independently.

Location: Washington, DC & San Francisco, CA. Internships will run for approximately 12 weeks. Assistance in locating housing will be provided.

To Apply: Please send a cover letter, resume, and brief writing sample to: interns@wdc.greenpeace.org.

Diverse perspectives and experience enhance the way Greenpeace selects and approaches issues, as well as the creativity and effectiveness of our campaigns. Greenpeace strongly encourages applications from women, people of color, and other under-represented communities.

Greenpeace is an independent campaign organization, which uses non-violent creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems and to force solutions that are essential to a green and peaceful future.
