As a Greenpeace Intern you can:
Stop the destruction of the world’s last ancient forests
Launch a renewable energy revolution to combat global warming
Hold multinational corporations accountable
Promote solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental problems
And yes — save the whales
Take on the corporations and governments that are threatening the planet by working in the world’s best-known environmental activist organization.
Internships are available in the following departments: campaigns (climate/clean energy, nuclear energy, forests & toxics), communications (web and graphic design), media, legal, and marketing. Activist trainings will be available in areas such as corporate campaigning, non-violent direct action, media relations, and grassroots organizing. At least 75% of your time will be spent running your own substantive projects. Limited scholarships are available on a needs basis.
Qualifications: Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong research skills, an enthusiasm for protecting the environment and an ability to work well independently.
Location: Washington, DC & San Francisco, CA. Internships will run for approximately 12 weeks. Assistance in locating housing will be provided.
