I'm a cultural anarchist, obsessed with autonomy and the transformative value of culture. I have the sense that ideas and plans you don't immediately share with those around you are somehow lost, that the search for allies is essential and that real community is the invaluable first step for organizing.
I live near the Sarah Lawrence Campus in an apARTment/gallery where we host potlucks, film screenings, poetry circles and so on to foster as many connections between people as possible. I'm also very involved in the development of Meerkat Day, a weekly barter meet-up in the center of our campus to facilitate exchange among students and workers. Let's be in this together as much as possible, but we should build solutions with people we largely agree with and not waste too much time arguing with the others. Our culture can be contagious--but arguments with the absolute opposite side Occupation: Student, Poet, Projectionist, Translator Networking Goals: Learn about other cultural organizing, if and where it exists.
