Our nation is in a state of environmental crisis and local actions need to be taken to reduce our dependence on harmful fossil fuels. The Long Island Offshore Wind Park will be the first OFFSHORE wind park in the nation and will set a much needed precedent for clean, domestically-produced, renewable energy. The current administration is obviously failing to take the lead on Global Climate Change, but campus organizations and other organizations can and must do something from the local levels.
