United StatesWho we are: Project Literacy is a student initiative that works to minimize world illiteracy today.
What we do: We collect and sell used books. The money goes towards building schools, language and computer labs, establishing libraries, and giving scholarships to underprivileged children. We help support a larger organization called Room to Read who handles all the logistics of building and distributing books.
