The New York Immigration Coalition's Youth Leadership Council is a group of students from high school, college, and community & faith based organizations that come together to advocate for Comprehensive Immigration Reform. The group's main project for 2006 is the passing of the DREAM Act, a bill that would allow young undocumented immigrants to go to college and have a path to citizenship. This is a body of young people that work togehter to organize rallies & press conferences, make lobby visits, conduct workshops & leadership trainings, and do grassroots mobilization and advocacy work on both the local and national level.
