United StatesBloomington Media Arts Group (BMAG) is a collaboration of students and local people working to empower community media in Bloomington, Indiana.
Through the media arts, we meet at the crossroads of creativity and grassroots activism. Our volunteer-driven programs are designed to make the best use of locally available technologies such as radio, television, print, and the Internet to promote communicative democracy and civic engagement.
By participating in the existing and emerging forms of local community media, we have the opportunity to create new campus/community relationships, encourage public dialogue, celebrate local arts and culture, and showcase the work of student and community groups.This is a campus group.
