Committee for Justice in Palestine at Ohio State University
Address

Columbus, Ohio 43210

Notes
As members of The Ohio State University community we are deeply concerned with the brutality of the Israel-Palestine conflict.

The Israeli military occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and individual acts of aggression perpetrated by Israeli settlers and Palestinian civilians, are acts so egregious that we should no longer remain silent and should actively seek a peaceful resolution.

OSU has financial interests in corporations whose policies violate domestic and international law, support the occupation, and allow profit to be derived from Israeli military escalation and buildup. It is unethical for the university to have investments in corporations with vested interests in continuing the conflict; a conflict which undermines the basic human rights of Israelis and Palestinians.

We are joining a rapidly growing number of universities and cities in a national movement of divestment, which works towards a larger goal of using political and economic influence to encourage a non-violent resolution to the conflict.

We, as members of the OSU community, urge the university to cease investment of our tuition and tax dollars in corporations that profit from the conflict, and ask that any other financial relationships with these corporations be terminated in a timely manner.

This is a campus group.
