Ending Date: 11-17-2012
Address

St. Paul, Minnesota 55103

Description
We are seeking workshop proposals, due September 17th. Please distribute the RFP (PDF, will open in new window) to your networks, friends, colleagues, etc., involved in anti-racism work. If you know of someone doing innovative work, or an organization that has been persistent in doing anti-racism work and is transforming into an anti-racism organization, please encourage them to submit a proposal about their work. The Conference has become a place where people can truly learn from one another, and we want to continue that tradition. We encourage submissions through this online form, or by mail or email per instructions in the RFP. Up to two presenters per accepted workshop will receive free conference registration.

Keynote speakers:

Waziyatawin, Dakota writer, teacher, and activist committed to the development of liberation strategies that will support the recovery of Indigenous ways of being, the reclamation of Indigenous homelands, and the eradication of colonial institutions.

Rose Brewer, scholar-activist, professor of African American and African Studies at the University of Minnesota, co-author of The Color of Wealth, founding member of the Black Radical Congress, long-time UFE board member, and co-founder of the Freire Center.
